2005-04-20 "Hibernate is EJB 3.0" Nonsense

MikeKeith finally nails the coffin on this old myth, started by none other than MarcFleury back in the day. It was a masterful move on Marc's part, I admit. It caught on like a grass fire, and quickly became an accepted truth through sheer repetition.

Nonetheless, let the truth be heard. Hibernate is not, and never will be, EJB 3.0. TopLink isn't either, for that matter, because EJB3 is a standard, not an implementation. Both implementations are being used to drive the standard, which in turn feeds the implementation. What a concept!
